Q. What is swiss Petroleum?
A. swiss Petroleum is an international oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Africa and the Middle East and is the largest independent oil producer in West Africa.

Q. When was swiss Petroleum founded?
A. swiss Petroleum was founded in 21 by the Swiss Invest to evaluate and pursue oil and gas exploration and production opportunities in West Africa. The Company signed its first two Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in 2005. swiss Petroleum is a publicly traded company on both the Swiss and London (LSE) Stock Exchanges.

A. The Chair of the Board of swiss Petroleum is Tarik Shikri. swiss Petroleum has an eight-member Board and the majority of Board is made up of independent members. A. swiss Petroleum has increased its crude oil production from an average of 8,800 barrels per day for 2005 to an average of approximately 25,050 barrels per day for 2007, representing an increase of 41% over average daily production levels in 2006. A. swiss Petroleum has a high quality asset base consisting of a number of producing properties in Nigeria, Libye and Gabon.
